This person will deliver world class software, hardware and facilities support to a leading California based energy producer headquartered in Bakersfield, CA.Applicants should have good communication and issue solving abilities as well as the expertise to multi-task in a high energy and challenging work atmosphere. This position is responsible for managing a team of approx twenty employees across several disciplines, located in geographically diverse locations. The team supports approx 2500 users throughout the central valley and central coast of California. This position mandates a hands-on manager who will participate in all facets of the team's daily activities and works closely with the customer, engaged in the collaborative pursuit of continuous improvement.REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Outstanding verbal and written and interpersonal relations skills- Strong technical aptitude and expertise to research & solve complex issues independently- Prepare and review operational reportsdashboards to be used to analyze department metrics for opportunities and issues related to ticket trending. Make recommendations or conclusions to remediate- Establish, manage and maintain policies and procedures resulting in a safe working environment- Expertise to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal infoRESPONSIBILITES- Assist the department manager in budgeting for both recurring and project based costs as requested- Undertake and recommend ad-hoc assignments as required so as to react quickly and positively to new or emergent situations- Analytical/issue solving abilities- Vendor management- Manage and supervise the daily activities of the various support roles, to include training, coaching, mentoring, coordinating, organizing, planning, and staffing operations- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; continually searching for opportunities to add value to program- HDI affiliation andor certifications a plus- Courteous, with excellent phone and customer service skills- Responsible for normal administrative duties including but not limited to
